1:1 Advocacy (General)
This service provides one to one issue-based advocacy to any adult who faces discrimination or disadvantage.
Advocates support people who find it difficult or lack the confidence to speak up, to express their views and wishes, secure their rights and make informed decisions.
Advocates are loyal to the person they support, working in a way that helps them feel valued, included and in control. If necessary an advocate will speak on behalf of a person, representing their views and wishes, without bias.
“Having someone on my side helps me get my voice heard so that I feel included in decisions about me.”
