At Warrington Speak Up, we’re committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
This policy explains how we collect and use personal information about people who visit our website and the conditions under which it may be disclosed and how we keep it secure. Warrington Speak Up is an independent advocacy organisation actively promoting social inclusion, equality and social justice for Warrington residents who face discrimination, disadvantage and social isolation.

We obtain information about you when you use our website in the following ways:
Feedback Form
All data submitted via our feedback form for http://www.warringtonspeakup.org.uk/contact-us is sent via email to the following email address [email protected] and is only accessible by authorised staff members. We may then use this information to respond to you or carry out a requested action on your behalf.

We will provide and update your personal information within 30 days. This can be extended up to 2 months in more complex cases, however in such cases you will be notified of the extended response period. This service is free of charge although we reserve the right to make a charge where there have been multiple or excessive requests.
As a security measure, you may be asked to verify that you are the person who you are requesting personal information about, or that you have their permission to do so in cases where you have legal powers to act on their behalf.
Warrington Speak Up will need to satisfy itself that the third party making the request has the individual’s permission to act on their behalf. It is the third party’s responsibility to provide this evidence, which could be a written authority to make the request, or a power of attorney.
If a person does not have the mental capacity to manage their own affairs (under the Mental Capacity Act 2005) and for example you have a Lasting Power of Attorney with authority to manage their property and affairs or health and welfare, you will have the right to access information about the person you represent to help you carry out your role.
How long do we keep your information?
We comply with our legal and contractual obligations for the retention and deletion of personal information. We shall not keep personal information for longer than is necessary by law for the purpose for which it was originally collected.
