Advocacy Quality Performance Mark
We are thrilled that following a rigorous assessment process Warrington Speak Up have been awarded for the second time the Quality Performance Mark (January 2025 – January 2028).
“We are delighted to be awarded the QPM for the second time and to have validated the excellent quality of advocacy services Warrington Speak Up consistently delivers. We work hard to uphold the advocacy principles in all our interactions with the people we support, colleagues, external partners and commissioners. Our core strength remains our team of dedicated, skilled, passionate and tenacious workers and I am pleased that this has been acknowledged throughout the QPM process”
Mandy CEO Warrington Speak Up
The principles of advocacy and commitment to people’s voice, rights and participations shone through in every single element of the QPM assessment, from the workbook to the policies and every conversation we had on the site visit. This is something to be extremely proud of and is something which makes Warrington Speak Up totally unique.
Being so deeply embedded in the community for so long has meant that Warrington Speak Up are able to respond quickly to local need and local issues and your innovative approaches to service development and providing services that people really need is fantastic. It means you are as relevant as you can possibly be to your local community.
There is an experienced, dedicated and passionate team of advocates in place, all of whom demonstrated an advanced understanding of the advocacy role and its boundaries. The whole team are extremely passionate about the work they do and that comes across really strongly.
Warrington Speak Up demonstrated an extremely robust approach to understanding the needs of the population served and in achieving resources to provide support to meet particular areas of need; they are well and truly embedded within and an integral part of the communities they serve. This means that their services are focused, effective and grounded in what’s most wanted and needed locally.
Warrington Speak Up’s website is a great resource: accessible, providing clear information about services available as well as excellent easy read guides to a number of processes that support people to understand and navigate these for themselves. Videos and stories also help bring advocacy practice and impact to life.
Warrington Speak Up support a number of self-advocacy and involvement/participation groups and the voice and needs of people who use the advocacy service is clearly at the heart of the organisation.
“The world of advocacy remains challenging and demanding but our commitment to people, rights, quality of life and sustainability as an advocacy provider, remains steadfast.
The QPM provides a helpful framework as we continue on our advocacy journey.”
